the ultimate riding machines
My debut exhibition at Bespoked the 2015 UK Handmade Bicycle Show in Bristol held in April was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. There was a massive interest in the design and function of the bike from the press, the public and from fellow exhibitors alike. That quickly quelled any nervousness I had about exhibiting in the company of frame builders of such high quality. Here are some links to what the cycling press had to say

The Hickman Bike successfully completed the 2016 British Heart Foundation London to Brighton cycle ride on June 19th. The bike was piloted throughout the ride by Keith Valentine who, prior to the event, went through a simple bike fitting process just as any potential customer would do, to adjust the bike to suit his style of riding and to obtain his ideal
riding position. This was followed by a road test where Keith made some additional adjustments himself as he gradually honed in to his particular optimum riding position. Commenting on this he said, “The Hickman Bike was easy to adjust using only two allen keys and I quickly achieved a riding position that suited my riding style. Once this was achieved I felt that the Hickman Bike became my personalized bike and felt very comfortable when riding it”. He also added, “I now have started to alter my position slightly depending on what type of ride I am going on”.
The London to Brighton run, although not a race, was completed in a time that surprised Keith himself, including climbing the infamous Ditchling Beacon without stopping. The riding position that he himself had set up paid dividends as Keith really enjoyed the ride and had no aches or pains on the following day.
Keith’s experience in adjusting and riding the Hickman Bike really does
prove it is the Ultimate Riding Machine and potential customers are welcome to follow Keith’s Hickman Bike fitting experience and try out the bike for themselves before committing to a purchase.
